01 Three collars

A line is three workforces. Most plans hire one.

Without technicians the tools stop. Without trained operators the night shift stops. We plan all three together.

White

Engineers, designers, leaders

Design centres, engineering offices, plant leadership.

We screen for

Depth in the discipline, and a line or product carried through a ramp.

  • Process and integration engineers
  • Equipment and facilities engineers
  • Yield, quality and reliability engineers
  • Test and product engineers
  • Chip design and verification engineers
  • Physical design and DFT engineers
  • Technical architects
  • Project and programme managers
Grey

Technicians and specialists

Cleanroom bays, sub-fab, labs, test floors.

We screen for

Hands-on tool time, troubleshooting method, safety habits.

  • Process technicians
  • Equipment technicians
  • Maintenance technicians
  • Facilities, gas and chemical technicians
  • Quality inspectors
  • Metrology and lab technicians
  • Test and failure-analysis technicians
  • Field-service specialists
Blue

Operators and production staff

Production floors in fab, assembly and test.

We screen for

Attention to procedure, steady hands, cleanroom fitness.

  • Fab production operators
  • Assembly operators: attach, bond, mold
  • Test and inspection operators
  • Packing and marking operators
  • Material handlers
  • Tool move-in and rigging crews
  • Cleanroom support staff
  • Stores and logistics staff

02 Screening

Candidates are qualified the way parts are.

A chip ships only after passing every test in its flow. A candidate reaches you the same way: six gates.

Define

Role definition

Tools, shift, must-have experience, written with your line manager.

Stops if: the role is unclear.

Source

Sourcing

Our network, referrals and partner institutes, India and APAC.

Stops if: experience can’t be evidenced.

Screen

Technical screen

An interview by a practitioner from the same discipline.

Stops if: textbook, not tool.

Check

Line readiness

Safety, cleanroom discipline, shift fitness, documents.

Stops if: a document fails.

Meet

Your interview

A shortlist, with our screening notes on each profile.

Stops if: you say no.

Join

Onboard and follow up

We stay in touch through joining and the first months.

Passes when: settled and performing.

03 Plan in certified people

Headcount says little. The skills matrix says everything.

Who can run and maintain each tool, on each shift. One certified person on a critical tool at night is a single point of failure.

04 Signature programmes

For the hardest hiring problems in a new line.

P-02 · First-Crew Programme

Tools arrive on a date. The crews come first.

Technicians who join during installation learn each tool beside the vendor’s engineers. Operators get certified during qualification.

  • Workforce plan by role, shift and month, tied to tool-in
  • Sourcing and screening of operators, technicians, shift engineers
  • Cleanroom and safety training through partner institutes
  • Phased joining, so nobody idles and no tool waits
  • A skills matrix handed to your production head

P-04 · Returnee Corridor

Experience that left India, invited back.

Many experienced fab engineers abroad began their careers in India. Some want to return, and new lines need what they know.

  • Search across established fab regions, by module and role
  • Candid briefings on role, location and conditions
  • Relocation, immigration and tax support via specialist partners
  • Each returnee paired with local understudies

06 Questions

Semiconductor hiring, answered plainly.

What is the difference between white-collar, grey-collar and blue-collar roles in a semiconductor fab?

White-collar roles are engineering, design and management positions such as process engineers, chip designers and project managers. Grey-collar roles are skilled, hands-on technical positions between engineer and operator, such as process, equipment and maintenance technicians and quality inspectors. Blue-collar roles are production positions that work to defined procedures, such as fab and assembly operators and material handlers.

Does FabBeyond supply fab operators and technicians, or only engineers?

All three. FabBeyond recruits and staffs white-collar engineers and managers, grey-collar technicians and specialists, and blue-collar operators and production staff, and plans the three together against the ramp schedule.

Can you staff a new OSAT or ATMP line from the beginning?

Yes. The First-Crew Programme builds the first shift crews for a new line: a workforce plan tied to tool-in dates, sourcing and screening, cleanroom-readiness training through partner institutes, and phased joining.

Do you recruit semiconductor professionals from outside India?

Yes. Cross-border sourcing, including the Returnee Corridor for Indian-origin engineers working abroad, covers roles that need years inside a running fab. Relocation, immigration and tax support is provided through specialist partners.

How are candidates screened?

Through six gates: role definition with your line manager, sourcing, a technical screen by a practitioner from the same discipline, a line-readiness check that includes document verification, your own interview, and follow-up after joining. Screening notes are shared with each profile.

Do you offer both contract staffing and permanent recruitment?

Yes. FabBeyond offers permanent recruitment, contract staffing, project crews, build-operate-transfer teams and cross-border sourcing. People can move from contract to your payroll.
